Different Countries, Different Power Plug Standard

At present, there are two types of voltages used indoors in countries around the world, which are divided into 100V~130V and 220~240V. 100V and 110~130V are classified as low voltage, such as the voltage in the United States, Japan, and ships, focusing on safety; 220~240V is called high voltage, including China's 220 volts and the United Kingdom's 230 volts and many European countries, focusing on efficiency. In countries that use 220~230V voltage, there are also cases where 110~130V voltage is used, such as Sweden and Russia.

The United States, Canada, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and other places belong to the 110V voltage area. The 110 to 220V conversion transformer for going abroad is suitable for domestic electrical appliances to be used abroad, and the 220 to 110V transformer is suitable for foreign electrical appliances to be used in China. When purchasing a conversion transformer for going abroad, it should be noted that the rated power of the selected transformer should be greater than the power of the electrical appliances used.

100V: Japan and South Korea;

110-130V: 30 countries including Taiwan, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Cuba, and Lebanon;

220-230V: China, Hong Kong (200V), the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, India, Singapore, Thailand, the Netherlands, Spain, Greece, Austria, the Philippines, and Norway, about 120 countries.

Conversion plugs for traveling abroad: At present, there are many standards for electrical plugs in the world, including Chinese standard travel plug (national standard), American standard travel plug (American standard), European standard travel plug (European standard, German standard), British standard travel plug (British standard) and South African standard travel plug (South African standard).

The electrical appliances we bring when we go abroad usually have national standard plugs, which cannot be used in most foreign countries. If you buy the same electrical appliances or travel plugs abroad, the price will be quite expensive. In order not to affect your travel, it is recommended that you prepare several overseas conversion plugs before going abroad. There are also cases where multiple standards are used in the same country or region.
